ideaLAB -- Open for Business!
It has been just over a month since the ideaLAB opened, and so far we have had only positive feedback from our patrons. People seem very excited about the potential of working with robotics and 3D printing, and the ideaLAB was featured in the Largo Leader a week after the opening. We will be having another Intro to 3D printing class in January, but we may have to make separate appointments to keep up with the demand.
Our January Lego Mindstorms class was successful. We are still in building mode, but participants are looking forward to the next class where the robot should be ready to move and be programed.
We are excited about adding more classes that demonstrate the practical applications of 3D printing, starting with the ever-popular (in libraries) Create a Cookie Cutter class. Cookie cutters are one of the fastest things to 3D print, so hopefully everyone will have a finished product to take home.
